A group of application developers, through a series of experiments, has succeeded in dismantling the secret behind how the Siri application. In theory, Siri can now be accessed from any device.

iPhone 4S

This was done by a group calling Applidium blog, which then publishes the methods they have done well as a series of tools that are useful for mengoprek Siri further on his blog.

"Today we have succeeded in dismantling the Siri application protocols. As a result, we can use the machine Siri from any device. Yes, it just means anyone can create Android applications that use real Siri! Or on the iPad!" the group said.

What has been found by Applidium is Praise be to Allaah communication between applications on the iPhone 4S with Siri Siri in Apple's server is done through TCP. From this they managed to track down servers that are used and what kind of data sent.

Here are some things that successfully revealed by Applidium:

  1.      Audio data that is sent to the server Siri is the raw audio data. This data is compressed with the Speex codec, which is designed for communication via the Internet (VoIP).
  2.      Every iPhone 4S has a unique identification number. This number should always be used along with Siri communication to ensure that the access is the iPhone 4S. Applidium provide tools to extract this number from the iPhone 4S.
  3.      During use Siri, there are a lot of communication between the iPhone 4S with Apple's servers. Including, for example, data on how quickly users type in command and when each word typed when accessing Siri with text-to-speech.

Of course, what is revealed by this Applidium utilize some 'weakness' in the system used. It may be that in the near future 'gap' has been shut down by Apple.
